All rules and regulations are listed below.
Rules Of Play – Pool Board Square Lottery
The Pool Square Lottery Board will be made up of a 10×10 grid of squares, a total of 100 squares to be sold at $100 / square per board. 200 squares (2 boards) will be available for purchase.
Each square will be purchased for the 2026-27 season ending February 21, 2027. The “score” assigned to each column on the board for every home game will be decided by random draw. “Score” – all registered goals for each, the HOME and VISITING teams.
Before each home game, chips with numbers “0” through “9” will be drawn randomly and will correlate with the goals scored in that particular home game. As each chip is drawn, it will be assigned to a column on the board starting at the top left corner:
Yorkton Kinsmen Maulers HOME team will always be assigned horizontally, and the VISITING team will be assigned vertically.
Starting with the HOME team, chips will be drawn, one at a time, and the number on thechip pulled will be assigned to the first square in the column moving across one square at a time to the right with each chip pulled. The chips will be replaced and drawn a second time in the same fashion and assigned to the vertical column, beginning at top left corner and down. This will be repeated for the second board.
After the end of the 1st period, 2nd period, and the FINAL score, the goals registered for each team will be matched with the pool board.
The goals the HOME team has scored in the 1st period will be located on the horizontal column on the board. The goals scored by the VISITING team will be located along the vertical column and the square that intersects the 2 columns will be awarded the 1st period
prize payout. This will be repeated at the end of the 2nd period, and again for the final score at the end of the game. There will not be a 3rd period payout if the game goes into overtime, or a shootout. Only the FINAL score will be awarded. This will be repeated for the second board.
“Cash” Prizes (sent via e-transfer) will be awarded as follows for each board:
1st period prize payout – $25.00 “cash”
2nd period prize payout – $50.00 “cash”
FINAL score prize payout – $75.00 “cash”
Unclaimed prizes will be held in a secure location for the period of 1 year from the date of the draw. If prizes go unclaimed beyond their hold date, the prizes shall be donated to a charitable beneficiary approved by SLGA.
If the winning square is unsold, a random draw will be conducted to determine a new score combination for that prize. The first number drawn will represent the HOME team score, and the second number drawn will represent the VISITING team score. The draw will be repeated as necessary until a score combination matches a square that has been sold, at which point the prize will be awarded to the owner of that square.
Draw dates will be for every HOME game. 22 scheduled HOME games will be held at the Westland Arena, 455 Broadway Street W, Yorkton, SK. Draw times will vary based on the start time of each game, and how long each period takes to complete. Inclement weather may cause a game to be rescheduled, outside of the control of the team. If that happens, the rescheduled game date will take the place of the originally scheduled game aligned to the Rules of Play.

The maximum number of tickets (squares) eligible to be sold for the season is “200”. Each square sold is eligible for all 3 prize payouts for every HOME game. The maximum cash prize available to be won each HOME game, per board is $150.00 – total of $300/game.
